Roberta Leventhal
William Orange Realty in Orange has named Roberta Leventhal to the firm’s team of professional Realtors.
“Roberta is well known and well respected as a Realtor and business person,” said Frank D’Ostilio Jr., president and designated broker of the realty firm. “We are very excited to have her as part of our growing team.”
Leventhal has been a Realtor since 1977, but she started her career working at the former Starter Sportswear company as a general manager. She eventually opened her own very successful retail store in downtown New Haven, Sports Stuff, which she operated with daughters Kim Syrop and Marcie Zuk.
Leventhal also worked for a retail liquidation company where she traveled throughout the United States before returning to real estate.
“Women today have to be multi-faceted in order to be successful,” Leventhal said. “I’ve always managed to do more than one thing at a time and do it well. Yet I always came back to real estate for two very important reasons. One, I really love the real estate profession and working with people, and two, I’m very good at it.”
Leventhal is a native of the Greater New Haven area and is married to John Riccio, a 25-year veteran of the West Shore Fire Department. She has two grown daughters and lives in Milford.
