Pearce Real Estate Co. recently held the grand opening for The Ivy Condominiums I & II, located on 34-36 and 46-48 Legion Ave. in New Haven.The Ivy is a historic townhouse condominium built in 1918. The 18 units are located near the corner of Howe and Legion avenues (Route 34) in New Haven’s upcoming biotechnology and medical community. Officials have said the complex will have a broad appeal to young professionals, doctors, nurses and relocating staff from new businesses. The condominiums are within walking distance of the community’s downtown area, Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael’s Hospital, Pfizer Clinical Research Unit and other medical institutions. The residential condominium property is expected to set the tone for the future commercial/residential development along the Route 34 corridor.
