Adele Unger
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut/Westchester, N.Y., has named Adele Unger as manager of the company’s Newtown office.
Unger holds a degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. She entered the real estate field in 2001. Before that she had a successful career as a pastry chef and a dining services manager.
A top sales associate in Fairfield and southern Litchfield counties, she has been with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Newtown office since 2002, when it was Curtiss & Crandon Realty.
Unger was raised in Newtown and still resides there with her two children. She is involved in local politics and education, serving as co-president of the Newtown PTA for two years.
“I love this area and know it well, which makes my job very easy,” Unger said. “I serve only the communities I know. I feel very strongly about this, which is why I look forward to emphasizing the importance of personal marketing and service to this particular real estate market.”
Raveis Breaks Records
Fairfield-based William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services has surpassed its 2004 records in sales volume, properties listed/sold and mortgage volume through its lending company.
The company’s 55 offices and over 1,700 sales associates posted a total sales volume exceeding $5.15 billion, an 18 percent increase over 2004’s results. Properties listed/sold surpassed 11,400 in 2005, increasing 9 percent since 2004. While some of that success can be attributed to a strong home sales market, William Raveis, chairman and chief executive officer, said he believes there is more to the equation.
The company’s growing presence in Massachusetts is evident with almost $562 million in closed-sales volume in 2005, nearly 72 percent above 2004’s volume. The number of properties listed/sold also increased dramatically, posting an over 74 percent increase in 2005. The company plans to increase its number of Massachusetts offices from seven in 2005 to well into the teens in 2006. The company’s first 2006 office openings in the Bay State will include locations in Boston, Wellesley and Lexington.
