Kevin Weirsman of Colonial Properties has completed the sale of 2 Elizabeth St. in West Haven, a 14,000-square-foot office/redevelopment property on 1.25 acres located directly along Route 34 near the Maltby Lakes. Weirsman was the sole broker involved in the transaction, representing the seller, DRB/I LLP and the buyer, Faith Temple Revival Church. The buyer has plans to renovate and expand the existing structure to house its office, sanctuary and outreach programs. Coldwell Banker Brokers Two±

Coldwell Banker Commercial-Scalzo Group of Bethel recently brokered two deals. Hal Kurfehs recently brokered the lease of 10,000 square feet of office space in Bethel’s Berkshire Corporate Park for ComNet Communications. A national communications specialty contractor, ComNet Communications plans to relocate its headquarters from Corporate Center in Danbury to the new space. Kurfehs represented ComNet Communications and Joe Wrinn of Goodfellow Ashmore represented the lessor, 1 Park Ridge Road LLC.

The company also office brokered the sale of a 2,700-square-foot retail building located on half an acre at 39A Padanaram Road in Danbury for $633,000. Formerly a 7-Eleven, the property will be renovated and reopen as a 24/7 Mini-Mart. Kurfehs of Coldwell Banker Commercial-Scalzo Group was the sole broker in the transaction representing both the seller, STJ Realty LLC and the buyer, Khan Real Estate LLC.

161 CJA Acquires Office

A Norwalk office building was recently sold for $2.3 million The company 161 CJA Assoc. acquired 161 East Ave., a 19,900-square-foot building. The facility is a half-block from Interstate 5 Exit 16 in the busy medical/professional office building corridor along East Avenue. The seller was RAP Assoc.

The building is a 1974 conversion of a pre-World-War-II gable-roofed house to a commercial structure that has incorporated an ornate red-brick chimney. Office additions were made in 1984 and 2001, creating the 19,900-square-foot professional/medical building that exists today. Building characteristics favoring medical and office professionals include a large elevator and stairway, individual heating and cooling zones and a useful partial basement ideally suited for medical and dental laboratories.
