Karl G. Seelaus has joined Robert J. Reby & Co. as a certified financial planner. Seelaus has 35 years of experience in the financial services business. Most recently he worked for 23 years as a financial planner with UBS Financial Services where he was promoted to account vice president of investments.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Seelaus, while attending law school, worked for Nixon, Mudge, Rose, Gutherie, Alexander and Mitchell, the law firm of the late President Nixon. He switched from a career in law to working on Wall Street in financial services, where for three decades he has helped hundreds of individuals accumulate and preserve wealth for themselves and family members.
Seelaus received a CFP certificate in 1979 from the College for Financial Planning and in 2000 was awarded the title of Investment Management Consultant from UBS Financial Services School for Advanced Studies.
A member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 72, Seelaus was awarded the prestigious 9/11 medal for his work in directing the activities of 1,200 auxiliary members supporting Coast Guard regulars and reserves, providing search-and-rescue activities and patrolling Long Island Sound harbors and ports.
He and his wife, Barbara, have been Ridgefield residents for the past 18 years.
Bank Opening New Location
Savings Bank of Danbury will open a branch office at 90 Mill Plain Road in Danbury. The full-service branch office is expected to open in late June.
“We are very excited about the opening of our newest branch office on Danbury’s west side. It will provide added convenience for many of our customers, and we believe this location offers significant business opportunities,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Hal Wibling.

Moon Named Branch Manager
Nancy C. Moon has been appointed branch manager of Rockville Bank’s Glastonbury office, which is located in The Shops at Addison Village at 1009 Hebron Ave.
Moon is primarily responsible for business development and community relations in Glastonbury. She also concentrates on developing commercial and consumer accounts, as well as residential lending, and is responsible for providing clients with the best bank product for individual financial solutions and offering superior customer service.
Moon has been a branch manager at Rockville Bank for 10 years. Most recently, she was in charge of the bank’s Vernon Circle office. Her 20 years of experience in the banking industry also includes five years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and work at Landmark Bank.
A Manchester resident, she is a member of the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, and was treasurer of the Vernon Education Foundation from December 2003 through March of this year.
