Realtor sales professional Jackie Starks has joined the Stamford office of Prudential Connecticut Realty.
“I’m very excited to extend a warm welcome to Jackie,” said Office Leader Ellen Christian. “Her professional approach, listening skills and attention to detail will win her the loyalty of many clients.”
Starks has a fine-tuned understanding and first-hand experience of the range of emotions many homebuyers and sellers experience, particularly those who are relocating due to a job transfer. The career of Starks’ husband John, a former guard with the New York Knicks, led the couple and their children to relocate to eight different states.
“It can be a very emotional process and it’s not uncommon to feel apprehensive about the move at the same time you’re feeling excited about it,” she said. “Because I know how challenging this kind of transition can be, I strive at all times to offer professional guidance and honest, trustworthy counsel. I work hard to develop a process that’s marked by integrity and fair dealings, from start to finish.”
Starks said she chose to affiliate herself with Prudential based on the company’s market dominance as well as her own experience with Prudential as a customer, adding that she believes her personal credo emphasizing a customer-centric approach meshes well with Prudential’s corporate philosophy.
“When you’re serving customers in such a people-oriented business like real estate, meeting the customer’s needs must always be the priority,” Starks said. “If that’s how you conduct yourself, people will respond. I am looking forward to helping both homebuyers and sellers find the home that’s right for them at any stage of their lives, whether it’s helping first-time homebuyers find their first home or helping more established homebuyers land the dream home they’ve been thinking about for years.”
Starks, who will work in communities throughout lower Fairfield County, is a member of the Stamford MLS, Connecticut Board of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. She also remains active in the John Starks Foundation, which awards college scholarships. Starks resides in Stamford with her husband and their children.
Prudential Connecticut Realty maintains 63 sales offices throughout Connecticut. Its more than 1,800 sales executives have generated more than $6 billion in sales. Hull Agency Acquired
Guilford-based Page-Taft GMAC Real Estate has acquired The Hull Agency, one of the area’s oldest real estate firms.
Established by J. Myron Hull as a conduit for the sale of farmland in North Madison and Killingworth, The Hull Agency has been in operation in Madison since 1887. A strong force in the Shoreline real estate market, The Hull Agency brings to Page-Taft GMAC a large and varied client base.
When Bill Littell, broker-owner of The Hull Agency, decided to retire, he met with several of the area’s real estate companies. He said he chose Page-Taft GMAC because of its reputation, level of professionalism and commitment to its clients and the communities it serves. Of equal importance to Littell was the fact that Page-Taft GMAC is a local, independently owned company with access to national resources.
“We are very happy that The Hull Agency made the decision to join our family,” said Karen Stephens, broker-owner of Page-Taft GMAC Real Estate. “Their culture, reputation and way of doing business are very similar to ours. Page-Taft GMAC Real Estate is focused on a future of continued growth in the areas we serve.”
