First County Bank Foundation recently announced grant totals distributed this year to nonprofits in Stamford, Westport and Greenwich.
“First County Bank Foundation is proud to support community-based nonprofit groups which supply essential services such as food, shelter and educational programs to those in the communities they serve,” Reyno A. Giallongo Jr., president of First County Bank Foundation, said in a statement. “It’s exciting to be part of an organization which works to help these local nonprofits ensure basic needs are met.”
Nearly 40 Stamford-based nonprofits received a total of $310,750 grants, including groups supporting victims of sexual assault, children, the elderly and veterans.
Westport-based nonprofit groups received a total of $18,000 in grants. Those organizations included Homes with Hope, Positive Directions’ Center for Prevention and Counseling and the Westport Library Association.
Greenwich-based nonprofit groups received a total of $31,427 in grants. Those organizations included Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, YMCA of Greenwich, Abilis Inc., Hill House Inc., United Way of Greenwich, Kids in Crisis Inc. and River House Adult Day Center.
