Rocky Hill-based title insurance underwriter CATIC has launched a new municipal guide app compatible with iOS and Android phones and tablets.

The app provides information on contact information deed registry, town clerk and assessor information for every town in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

“We realized there was a need within the real estate industry for easily accessible municipal information,” CATIC CEO Jim Czapiga said in a statement. “Currently, someone has to either flip through a hard copy booklet or search online for all of the relevant information. CATIC has made the process much more efficient by placing all of the information in the palm of the user’s hand.”

The free app is available in the iTunes Store and on Google Play. Search for “CATIC Municipal Guide.”

Additional states will be added to the guide in the future, CATIC said.
