Hoping to make sure the city’s stalled Downtown North redevelopment is shovel-ready, the Hartford City Council voted to OK a plan for Stamford-based RMS Cos. to redevelop several blocks around Dunkin Donuts Stadium.
The former developer, Centerplan Construction Co., sued the city after it was kicked off the 13-acre project. That case went to trial this week, the Hartford Courant reports.
Council President Gwendolyn Thames told the paper “in the event that [case] moves in our favor, we need to be ready to go.”
