A 72-unit Berlin project has been approved by town officials.
Developer John Orsini got the unanimous go-ahead from the town’s planning and zoning board on Sept. 5 for his project at 196 Berlin Turnpike, according to the board’s minutes.
According to the Record-Journal, Orisini plans to demolish the building that is currently home to Berlin Pizza and a cigar store and replace it with an 18,000-square-foot commercial building and 72 two-bedroom homes with detached garages, plus a clubhouse for residents.
