A trio of Hartford-area hotels is in line for upgrades following their sale to a Chicago-based hotel investment and management company.
Arbor Lodging Partners bought the Courtyard Inn in Farmington, the Residence Inn in Rocky Hill and the Homewood Suites in Wallingford as part of a 12-hotel portfolio that included California and New Jersey assets, all bought in a joint venture with GFH Financial Group B.S.C.
The deal expands Arbor’s portfolio to 37 full-service and select-service hotels consisting of nearly 5,000 rooms across 21 markets in 15 states. Going forward, the hotels will be managed by Arbor Lodging Partners’ affiliate, Arbor Lodging Management.

The company’s will begin renovations of various scopes at each property. Renovations may include modern updates to all guestrooms, guest bathrooms, lobbies and common areas, as well as meeting spaces and food and beverage outlets.
