A 32-tenant shopping center in Hamden has received $12.2 million in refinancing from Washington Trust Co.

Located on a 23.5-acre parcel at 2100 Dixwell Ave., the 255,574-square-foot Hamden Plaza contains four buildings and is anchored by ShopRite, Marshall’s, Party City and Planet FItness.

Property owner Andrew Bermant plans renovations to the property, which was originally completed in 1956.

“Washington Trust recognized the inherent value in our property and provided the financing necessary to further increase that value,” Bermant said in a statement.
