Waterbury-based Webster Bank has hired Nick Weaver to expand the bank’s market in the transportation and logistics industry.
Weaver has been hired as the bank’s senior vice president and regional manager for middle market banking, Webster Bank said in a statement. He will report to Scott Meves, Webster’s regional president in Pennsylvania.
Weaver will be responsible for building a team focused on Webster Bank’s clients and prospective customers in the transportation and logistics industry. Working with colleagues across the Webster’s commercial banking group, the team will provide working capital solutions, acquisition financing and cash management and treasury solutions.
“Nick’s wealth of experience in building and growing teams targeting this increasingly important business vertical will be critical to our goals of driving new business and revenue opportunities in the markets we serve,” Sam Hanna, Webster’s executive vice president and head of middle market banking, said in a statement.
Weaver has more than 20 years of experience in building and managing transportation-focused sales and strategy teams at major regional and national financial institutions, including most recently as managing director of specialized industries at The Private Bank/CIBC U.S. in Atlanta, Georgia.
