Lisa Griffin and Michael Rauh

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston has added two Connecticut bankers to its Community Depository Institution Advisory Council.

The Federal Reserve Board of Governors established the CDIACs in the 12 Federal Reserve districts in 2010. The Boston CDIAC meets twice a year and offers perspectives on the economy, lending conditions and other issues facing community banks and credit unions in New England, the Boston Fed said in a statement.

Joining the 12-member CDIAC are Lisa Griffin, president and CEO of Eastern Connecticut Savings Bank, and Michael Rauh, president and CEO of Chelsea Groton Bank.

Boston Fed’s CDIAC includes members from institutions with less than $10 billion in assets in the six New England states. The Boston Fed covers all of New England except Fairfield County.

Griffin joined Eastern Connecticut Savings Bank in 2004, according to her biography, and was previously the bank’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. She has over 40 years of banking experience and is chairman of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the chamber’s Leadership Development Program. She is also a director of the Connecticut Bankers Association and other organizations.

Before joining Chelsea Groton Bank, Rauh spent 19 years at the Washington Trust Co., according to his biography. He was named to the American Bankers Association board of directors in 2020 and is also on the boards for several organizations, including the Norwich Community Development Corp. He is a past chairman of the Connecticut Bankers Association.
