Bankers from M&T Bank, TD Bank and Wells Fargo have been named to the board of directors for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, the state’s largest business organization.
New CBIA board members include Louis Gallo, senior vice president and commercial banking market executive at Wells Fargo; Richard Iovanne, senior group manager and executive vice president of commercial banking for M&T Bank; and Michael LaBella, TD Bank’s Connecticut market president.
“We are at a pivotal time for our state as we work to unlock the economy’s full potential through our Transform Connecticut campaign,” CBIA President and CEO Chris DiPentima said in a statement last week. “These business leaders bring a wealth of experience and a passion for service to our board. We are looking forward to their unique perspectives and innovative ideas as we build a more vibrant economy with rewarding opportunities for all.”
The other new directors are:

- Moy Ogilvie, Hartford Managing Partner, McCarter & English
- Steve Sullivan, President of Connecticut Electric Operations, Eversource Energy
The board will elect a new chair in December to succeed Rina Patel, vice president of operations multi-site with RSCC Wire & Cable. Patel will remain on the board as the immediate past chair.
