A new report finds Fairfield County in Connecticut and Westchester County in New York are among the top 10 most expensive markets for luxury secondary home in the county.

Data from First American Data & Analytics was analyzed by San Francisco-based Pacaso, which offers “luxury vacation home co-ownership,” according to its website. The New York Times reported Pascaso’s findings.

“Luxury,” in this case, refers to home with a purchase price over $1 million. The study looked at counties where sales of those houses increased most from 2022 to 2023.

Fairfield County was number four on the list, with an increase of 14 percent and an average sale price of $2.2 million. Westchester County was number 10, with an increase of 10 percent and an average sale price of nearly $2 million.
