A fire in New Haven’s Hill neighborhood early Sunday morning left two rooming house tenants dead, 14 displaced, four firefighters injured and many questioning whether the property was properly maintained by the landlord and inspected by the city.
More than 140 firefighters from dozens of area departments battled the fierce flames Saturday at a 120-year-old former cotton mill in Killingly and at a former factory building about 26 miles away in Windham.
