Job search firm Indeed continued its much-anticipated expansion in downtown Stamford in the third quarter, according to an economic development report from the city, taking 24,000 more square feet at 107 Elm St. as it plans to grow its staff to 1,700.
Downsizing by financial services companies and the diminishing appeal of suburban single-use office parks have left behind vast expanses of unoccupied space. Even Stamford is facing a 30 percent commercial vacancy rate.
The Stamford-based job search firm is getting a $10 million loan from the Connecticut state government.
