Aflac has been named as the claims administrator for the recently established Connecticut Paid Leave Authority. The Georgia-headquartered company plans to open new offices in Windsor.
State auditors say the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development provided inaccurate or unsupported information about job creation and tax credits tied to various state initiatives designed to grow or retain jobs.
One of the state’s flagship economic development programs known as First Five Plus has created 3,800 new jobs to-date at 13 participating companies, and is on track to meet its goal of creating 5,264 jobs, according to the results of a new analysis.
