Jewett City Savings Bank Awards $100K in Grants
To help local organizations manage the financial challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jewett City Savings Bank awarded $100,000 in grants to six organizations in the communities the bank supports.
Main Street Lending Now Open to Nonprofits
The Federal Reserve Board has modified the Main Street Lending Program to give nonprofit organizations, including educational institutions, hospitals and social service organizations, access to the program. Two new loan options are now available to certain nonprofit organizations that were in sound financial condition before the pandemic.
An Affinity For Nonprofits
Jessica McCauley kicked off her accounting career at what was then Price Waterhouse. She worked for five years in the company’s auditing department, working largely with startups and tech companies before taking a hiatus to raise her children. Beers Hamerman offered her the flexibility to balance work and life when she was ready to re-enter the accounting world, and it was there that she developed a specialty working with nonprofits.
