Ridgefield resident Melissa Riley recently was appointed as chairwoman of the Membership Committee of the Relocation Directors Council. RDC membership is composed of recognized relocation industry leaders who are chosen for their experience, education and dedication to serving corporate clients, transferees and industry partners.

Riley also serves on the Planning Committee for RDC’s Spring Conference scheduled for May 13-14 in Dallas. In addition to her RDC activities, Riley is a frequent national speaker and recently discussed business development and the Internet at the annual RELO Conference in Palm Springs, Calif.

Riley is a senior vice president of corporate relocation at Glastonbury-based William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services, a family-owned real estate firm. During her tenure there, she was named Entrepreneur of the Year. She formerly served as chairwoman of the Cendant Advisory Council. She has lived in Ridgefield for the past eight years.
