In an effort to better serve homebuyers in the tri-state area, a group of five realty firms has joined forces.
While in the past such a venture would require mergers, acquisitions and lots of advertising, the joining of five Prudential real estate firms was as easy as linking their Web sites. The firms will still operate independently but will now share each other’s Internet resources, allowing potential buyers the ability to see all the home listings the five firms have available throughout the three states.
“This was a strategic marketing decision that for the first time ever provides consumers with the convenience of one-stop shopping for quality homes anywhere in the tri-state region,” stated Prudential Connecticut Realty President and CEO Peter G. Helie. “Homebuyers and sellers will benefit greatly from this extraordinary new tool.”
Residence-hunting consumers prospecting online for their dream homes in the New York areas of Manhattan, Long Island and Westchester, as well as New Jersey and Connecticut, will now have “one-stop” Internet access to information for over 100,000 properties throughout the region as a result of the Tri-State Prudential affiliates’ decision to hyperlink their Web sites.
Effective immediately, the public can log on to either a single central Web site, www.prudentialtristate.com, or to the individual Web sites of the five major Prudential tri-state real estate affiliates, to gain access to information on area homes listed for sale by all of the affiliates in the venture.
The home pages for each of these companies – Prudential Connecticut Realty, Douglas Elliman, Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Prudential New Jersey and Prudential Rand feature user-friendly drop-down menus to facilitate comprehensive access to the property information.
According to Helie, the hyperlink concept made sense largely because of the geographic synergy of the tri-state marketplace.
“This is a densely populated region where there’s a tremendous overlap of primary home searches as well as a desired proximity to major metropolitan and cultural centers, second and weekend homes, and even some resort markets,” he noted.
Prudential Connecticut Realty is an independently owned and operated member of the Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, with 39 offices and more than 1,100 sales executives servicing the entire state.
