Lawrence P. Weisman, an attorney with 40 years of professional experience, has joined the law firm of Halloran & Sage as counsel in the Westport office.
Weisman practices in the areas of land use and zoning, commercial and residential real estate, family law and general litigation. He has experience litigating a wide range of matters on behalf of corporations and individuals. He regularly assists corporations in stock-and-asset sales and assists individuals in all types of real estate transactions. Weisman is also an experienced divorce mediator.
As a former member of the Connecticut Bar Journal’s Board of Editors, Weisman frequently writes and speaks about many topics, including planning and zoning law and family law matters.

Weisman is also active in the community, particularly the town of Westport. He previously served on three of the town’s Charter Revision Commissions, as counsel to the town and as vice president to the board of trustees of the Westport Public Library.
Weisman is admitted to the bars of Connecticut, the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He received his B.A. degree in comparative literature from Brandeis University in 1960 and earned his juris doctorate in 1963 from Columbia Law School.
