CB Richard Ellis recently promoted Budd Wiesenberg, a Stamford-based leasing, acquisition and disposition specialist with over six years of experience providing commercial real estate services to both tenants and landlords throughout Westchester County, N.Y., and Fairfield County, to vice president. He was a senior associate.
“Since entering the commercial real estate industry, Budd has become well versed in the occupancy objectives of users of many sizes, geographic locations and core competencies,” said Robert Caruso, managing director of CB Richard Ellis’ Westchester/Fairfield operation. “He is an accomplished professional with a strong understanding of the area’s commercial real estate market from both a tenant and owner’s perspective, making him an essential component of our firm’s collective expertise.”
Wiesenberg has successfully completed transactions valued at more than $160 million during his career. In 2005 alone, he participated in transactions valued at more than $75 million for businesses spanning many different industries. He is talented at both finding appropriate space for clients and filling space with appropriate tenants. Some of his recent accomplishments include the relocation of BridgeCom International’s corporate headquarters to 57,000 square feet of space at RPW Group’s 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook, N.Y.; Fremont Investment & Loan’s 55,600-square-foot lease in Elmsford, N.Y., as well as participation in the disposition of space at and the sale of 411 West Putnam Ave., a 101,000-square-foot office building in Greenwich.
Wiesenberg is currently a member of the exclusive leasing team for RPW Group at 800 Westchester Ave in Rye Brook, N.Y., Related Properties at the 200,000-square-foot 1700 East Putnam Ave. in Greenwich and the New York Power Authority at the 420,000-square-foot 123 Main St. in White Plains, N.Y. Other clients include NextWave Wireless, Polytechnic University and Nationwide Insurance.
Prior to entering commercial real estate, Wiesenberg spent 18 years at Aaron Ashley Inc., a leading publisher of fine art prints. At the time of his departure, he oversaw the company’s sales, marketing and daily operations, managed relationships with key customer accounts, and directed new business development, the acquisition of new publications, the production of the company’s catalogue and the development of Aaron Ashley’s new media presence.
Wiesenberg is an executive board member of the Westchester Business and Professional Leaders initiative of the UJA Federation, a member of the Executive Networking Program and the Westchester County Association and active in the Area Development Council of the Business Council of Westchester. He is a graduate of Lehigh University and resides in Mamaroneck, N.Y., with his wife Alice and their two daughters.
Musi Kids Leases Branford Space
Branford-based The Geenty Group, Realtors, recently leased a 500-square-foot office unit in a multi-tenant building at 141 North Main St. in Branford. Colin Sheehan, doing business as Musi Kids CT Inc., is the new tenant. Musi Kids is a nonprofit organization intended to support the nurturing of musically gifted students by providing musical instruments, private lessons and music camps to disadvantaged, low-income and special-needs children who reside in Branford. Joseph A. Giunta of Joseph Anthony’s Salon, is the landlord of the building.
