The West Haven Post LLC has sold the property known as the West Haven Post, located at 1055 Post Road in West Haven, and the adjoining property, 1019-1033 Post Road, to the Guo family.
Shawn Reilly of Levey Miller Maretz in Woodbridge represented the buyer and Mark Endlemen of US Property represented the seller. The West Haven Post has 80,000 square feet of retail, office and apartment space and is anchored by Jimmy’s, Original Hip Hop and the Family Dollar. The new owners plan extensive renovations to the center and to open their own Asian market with a wide variety of fresh fish from around the world.
Stratford Property Sold
Three Sixty Sniffens LLC has purchased 7,900 square of foot industrial property at 590 Lordship Blvd. in Stratford for $740,000. The property was once Drake’s Thrift Store. The ownership plans to subdivide the building for lease to various tenants. David S. Gorbach and Joel Hausman of Colonial Realty and Bruce Wettenstein of Vidal/Wettenstein LLC were the brokers in the transaction.
Colonial Realty of Fairfield, serving Fairfield and New Haven counties, has specialized in commercial and industrial real estate since 1954.
Vidal/Wettenstein LLC specializes in the sale and leasing of industrial and office properties as well as tenant representation.
Scalzo Group Brokers Sale
Coldwell Banker Commercial-Scalzo Group of Bethel recently brokered the sale of a mixed-use investment property located at 18 Old Route 7 in Brookfield for $850,000. The property consists of three retail units and five apartments in a prime retail/rental location along the busy Route 7 corridor. Louis Zuckerman of Coldwell Banker Commercial-Scalzo Group was the sole broker in the transaction representing both the seller, Geraldine Anderson of Sarasota, Fla., and the buyer, Liam Fuller of Brookfield.

Poitras Joins Hotchkiss Co.
Gary R. Poitras of Portland recently joined the William M. Hotchkiss Co., a real estate firm based in New Haven, as property manager. Poitras, who recently attained his real estate license, brings more than 20 years of supervisory and managerial experience to Hotchkiss. His extensive background in the management of production staff and facilities has been primarily in the printing industry.
“Gary’s work ethic, coupled with his honest and sincere approach to dealing with people, ideally suits him for real estate sales and management,” said Richard Coote, president of the Hotchkiss Co.

Geenty Leases Milford Space
The Geenty Group, Realtors, in Branford recently leased 4,000 square feet of space at 20 Higgins Drive in Milford. Two agents at The Geenty Group were involved in the transaction. The landlord, D’Amato Investments, was represented by Bill Clark, senior vice president. Kristin Geenty, chief operating officer, represented the tenant, George N. Zychek of Chrysalis Technologies. Zycheck plans to use the space for the assembly and distribution of dental lab equipment.
