330 Boston Post Road, Orange

Kevin Weirsman of Fairfield-based Colonial Properties has brokered the lease of 2,400 square feet of prime retail space at 330 Boston Post Road in Orange. Weirsman represented the owner of the property, Commercial Realty Assoc.

The tenant, DHD Windows & Doors, has leased the space as a new Pella Windows showroom. Joel Hausman of Colonial Properties represented DHD in the transaction.

East Lyme Leases Signed

Londregan Commercial Real Estate Group has represented the owners in the first three leases that fully occupy the main level of a new complex in East Lyme anchored by the Savings Institute Bank & Trust. The other tenants include Prudential Connecticut Real Estate and Nails.com.

East Lyme Commons is located just off Interstate 95 between Exits 74 and 75 along Flanders Road in the Flanders Four Corners section of East Lyme. Recent commercial developments in the area include Super Stop & Shop, Stop & Shop Gasoline, Tri-Town Grocery Store, Wendy’s and Liberty Bank. Recently proposed new retail developments for Flanders Road include a new Brook’s Pharmacy, a new Ford dealership and a new Starbucks Coffee Shop.

There is an additional 8,850 square feet of retail and office space that is uncommitted in East Lyme Commons.

LMM Brokers Deals

Levey Miller Maretz recently brokered a pair of commercial real estate deals.

W & W Properties leased 2,400 square feet to the Connecticut state office of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers at Washington Square, located at 565 Washington Ave. in North Haven. Marty Ruff from the commercial real estate firm of Levey Miller Maretz represented both W & W Properties and MADD in the transaction.

Instant Button Co. of Hamden, a maker of all types of campaign buttons for the past 38 years, has been sold by Linda and Ralph Caffalette to Dave Henrickson of West Bend, Wis.-based USA Buttons. In the future, the business will be located in Wisconsin. Harold Kent of Levey Miller Maretz was the listing and selling broker.

Scafati Wins Award

Albert Scafati, senior advisor at Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, received an award for the Investment Sale/Flex Building category at the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors Commercial Investment Division’s recent annual “Deals of the Year” awards dinner.

Scafati represented Elm Street Partners on its purchase of a 116,000-square-foot building located at 60 Dodge Ave. in North Haven, home of HB Communications and the Great Spring Water Co. The transaction closed at just under $7.98 million.
