Steven P. Bardsley, a member of the CB Richard Ellis’ New York Tri-State Investment Team with more than two decades of experience in investment, corporate asset and net-lease sales, has been promoted to senior vice president. He was formerly a first vice president.

Dunne, vice chairman and leader of the New York Tri-State Investment Team. “He is an important component of our team’s collective expertise and a leader in the tri-state market.”
Bardsley is an expert in the marketing and disposition of commercial real estate assets. In just the past two years alone, he has successfully completed transactions valued at more than $500 million. Some of the most significant transactions of his career include 55 Railroad Ave., a 131,634-square-foot office building in Greenwich’s central business district; Altria Group’s 582,000-square-foot, two-building campus at 760 and 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook, N.Y.; 100 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk, a 116,555-square-foot single tenant office building; the 384,000-square-foot Heatherwood Commercial Portfolio in Suffolk County, N.Y.; RiverPark, a 412,808-square-foot office campus at 800 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk; the Mellon Financial Building, a 139,000-square-foot net-leased office tower in Fort Lee, N.J.; 225 High Ridge Road, a two-building, 228,000-square-foot office complex in Stamford; the Riverside Portfolio, a three-property, 145,878-square-foot office portfolio in Westport; and the Maxwell House site, a 24-acre development site on the waterfront in Hoboken, N.J.
Bardsley was previously director of real estate and facilities management for Pitney Bowes Inc., where he was responsible for real estate development, acquisition and disposition worldwide. Before working at Pitney Bowes, Bardsley was a senior real estate officer in the Capital Markets Group at Citibank where he structured, acquired and disposed of real estate investments for bank clients. Bardsley began his career in real estate as a self-employed broker and was on the faculty of Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y., before joining Citibank.
In 2004, Bardsley was named CB Richard Ellis’ Investment Properties Professional of the Year for suburban New York. He earned NAIOP’s Acquisition of the Year Award for the New York City, Westchester/Fairfield County Region in 2002 and 2004. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Connecticut State University and his master’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. He is a resident of Stamford.
Unilever Property Leased
Branford-based The Geenty Group, Realtors, recently completed the leasing of the former Unilever distribution facility in Clinton with the cooperation of Colliers Dow & Condon of Hartford.
The 186,000-square-foot, single-story, state-of-the-art distribution facility with 14 truck docks, high ceilings and rail service has been leased by Warehouse Services LLC of South Carolina. It will become the New England distribution point for Tempur-Pedic mattresses.
The listing agents at The Geenty Group were Kristin T. Geenty and Kevin C. Geenty, and the listing was referred to The Geenty Group by Eric Witmondt of New Jersey. The tenant representatives were Kristopher Krohn and Nick Morizio, and the tenant was referred to them by John Scott of South Carolina. The landlord is Kent Home Assoc., a small group of investors that owns the property at 30 Old Post Road as a long-term investment. The lease is valued in excess of $1 million.
