139 Mill Rock Road East, Old Saybrook
Tantor Media is expanding in Old Saybrook from its headquarters at 114 Mill Rock Road East. The company has leased a 10,039-square-foot assembly and distribution facility at 139 Mill Rock Road East in the Old Saybrook Business Park.
Tantor Media, which produces books on tape and CD, will be shifting several of its operations from its corporate office location to the new facility.
Kevin C. Geenty of Branford-based The Geenty Group, Realtors, was the listing and leasing agent in the transaction. The Geenty Group specializes in a variety of aspects of the commercial real estate industry, including investment, industrial, warehouse, office and retail brokerage, and provides market data from Milford to New London and New Haven to Middletown.
CBC Scalzo Group Honored
Coldwell Banker Commercial Scalzo Group in Bethel has been named the 2005 Number One Office in Closed Adjusted Gross Commission Income in the state of Connecticut for Coldwell Banker Commercial.
Alex Perriello, president and chief executive officer of the Real Estate Franchise Group of Cendant Corp., presented the award to Garland Warren, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Scalzo Group, at the company’s annual Global Commercial Conference held recently at the Downtown Marriott in San Francisco. More than 900 Coldwell Banker Commercial owners, brokers, sales associates, managers and employees attended the event, which also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the brand’s founding.

Reilly Promoted by CBRE
Colin L. Reilly, a Stamford-based corporate and institutional leasing and sales specialist with over eight years of experience in commercial real estate services throughout the northern suburbs of New York City, has been promoted to first vice president by CB Richard Ellis. He previously served as a vice president.

During Reilly’s tenure as a commercial real estate professional, he has completed more than 2 million square feet of leasing and sales transactions, primarily in Westchester County, N.Y., and in Connecticut. CB Richard Ellis’ presence in most major markets, however, has extended his reach, enabling him to provide service to clients both domestically and internationally. Markets in which he has completed transactions outside of his home base include Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Minneapolis, the San Francisco Bay area, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and London.
Some of Reilly’s significant assignments include the disposition of 250,000 square feet of mixed-use space on behalf of Phillips Medical Systems and more than 100,000 square feet of transactions as leasing agent for American Skandia, both in Shelton; Fleet Bank’s 113,000-square-foot lease in Windsor; Arch Insurance Group’s 112,000-square-foot lease in New York City; 55,000 square feet of deals as agent for Hypo und Vereinsbank in Greenwich; Manulife-Wood Logan’s 54,000-square-foot disposition in Stamford; Lifecare’s 52,000-square-foot lease in Shelton; and Environmental Data Resources’ 48,000-square-foot lease in Milford.
