Stamford resident and Realtor Donna Gilbert has joined the Stamford office of Prudential Connecticut Realty.
“We’re so pleased to welcome Donna to the Stamford team,” said Stamford office leader Ellen Christian said. “Her analytical approach to the business, coupled with her commitment to her clients, is a great fit within our company.”
Gilbert, who said she was attracted to Prudential Connecticut by its national reputation for excellence, emphasized her own highly personalized brand of customer service.
“My customers’ needs always come first,” she said. “I provide them with guidance and step-by-step assistance during every step of the homebuying and home-selling experience. In this way, I can help them achieve a greater comfort level in the decision-making process.”
Gilbert’s previous experience in real estate and as a museum docent at the Neuberger Museum in Purchase, N.Y., has helped her develop and fine-tune her listening skills when working with her clients. She said the thought-provoking dialogue intended to help museum goers better understand what they were looking at is similar to the conversations she has with homebuyers and sellers.
Gilbert worked for more than 20 years as a casualty underwriter in the reinsurance/insurance field at companies such as Crump & Forster Insurance and the Stamford-based General Reinsurance Co.
Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Williams College. She is an Accredited Buyer Representative and a member of the Stamford Board of Realtors, Connecticut Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and the Women’s Council of Realtors. As a certified insurance counselor, she often consults with clients on their insurance needs. Gilbert serves both homebuyers and sellers throughout lower Fairfield County with a special emphasis on Stamford properties.
In her free time, Gilbert breeds and exhibits Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs. She also contributes her time as a volunteer and member of Jack and Jill of America. She makes her home in Stamford with her husband Ken and son Miles.

Two Earn GRIs
Rosemary Ricciardelli and Nanette Sandini of H. Pearce Real Estate Co.’s regional office in Wallingford were recently awarded the designation of Graduate, Realtor Institute. They join other top producers in the residential real estate industry who hold the designation across the nation.
Ricciardelli and Sandini earned the designation by attending a specific, intensive series of a minimum of 90 hours of classroom instruction covering various subjects including contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction. In addition, they have learned the fundamentals of brokerage and other areas of real estate specialization. With the designation and through increased awareness of current topics important to the real estate professional, Realtors can better serve prospective clients and customers.
The Realtor Institute is designed to educate practitioners about local, state and national real estate practices that affect them, their clients and customers. The institute is taught by leading real estate professionals from around the country.
The GRI designation sets individuals who have attained it apart from other practitioners. The designation GRI indicates to the public that the individual has obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services he or she provides to the public and holds membership in the National Association of Realtors.
