Wendt Joins Prudential

Fairfield resident and Realtor Laura Wendt has joined the Fairfield office of Prudential Connecticut Realty. Wendt formerly worked from the firm’s Darien office.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Laura to the Fairfield team,” said Office Leader Melissa Riley. “I’m confident that, with her in-depth knowledge of the lower Fairfield County marketplace, she’ll continue to provide an invaluable service to Prudential Connecticut clients. Living in and having her sphere of influence in Fairfield will help her continue to develop her client base here.”

Wendt is a Connecticut native and has in-depth knowledge of all southern Connecticut shoreline markets in Fairfield and New Haven counties, which provides her clients with multiple possibilities from a home search perspective. Riley said such knowledge gives Wendt a broad base of markets, which greatly benefits both her buyers and sellers. Wendt’s many memberships with multiple listing services and boards of Realtors means she can provide clients enhanced flexibility when showing properties from one community to another, Riley added.

“I treat my client’s home search as if it was my own,” said Wendt. “It’s a journey, and that’s why I go the extra mile to truly listen and understand the clients’ needs and to build their trust.” She also has reached the professional designation of Accredited Buyer Representative.

Before launching her career in real estate, Wendt worked for more than a decade in the New York fashion industry in sales and management. She also has a background in catering.

Wendt is a consistent member of Prudential’s Leading Edge, a prestigious group of Realtors ranking within the top 14 percent of Prudential Realtors nationwide.

Wendt is a member of the Fairfield Board of Realtors; Fairfield, New Haven and Darien MLS; Connecticut Association of Realtors; National Association of Realtors; and Women’s Council of Realtors.

In her free time, Wendt is an active fund-raiser with the Sunshine Kids for Cancer Fund, the National Parkinson Foundation and the Multiple Myoloma Foundation. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Pine Manor College in Boston.
