Kevin Smith of North Haven-based H. Pearce Commercial Real Estate has brokered the sale of the property at 21 Pershing St. in Hamden. The building totals 12,544 square feet and is situated on 0.53 acres.
The property was on the market for 21 days and sold for $450,000. The seller was 21 Pershing Street Assoc. and the buyer was Elm City Manufacturing Jewelers.
Smith represented both the seller and buyer in the transaction.

Law Firm Adds Three
Three attorneys have joined the Southport-based law firm of Brody, Wilkinson and Ober. Local real estate attorney Brian T. Silvestro has joined the firm as a principal. In addition, Mark W. Klein and Justin L. Galletti have joined the firm as associates.
The new additions reflect the growing needs of the firm and its clients, particularly in the areas of real estate and general business transactions, according to company officials.

Brian’s extensive real estate, land-use and zoning experience will add significant depth to our real estate practice and enable the firm to expand the services we provide to our increasing base of clients in the state,” said Seth O.L. Brody, a senior principal of the firm. “Further, the addition of Mark and Justin to our team strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver value to our clients efficiently and promptly.”
Silvestro practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, land use and zoning. He represents business owners, builders and private clients in real estate purchases, sales, refinancing and third-party relocation transactions. In addition, Silvestro handles subdivision applications, special permits and variances for clients before the community’s Zoning Board of Appeals, Planning and Zoning Commission and Conservation Commission. He lectures at real estate relocation conferences and represents select New York banks in real estate finance transactions for private clients residing in Connecticut.
Prior to joining the firm, Silvestro practiced for nearly 30 years at the Southport-based law firm of Kleban & Samor where he headed the Residential Real Estate Group. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Silvestro is a member of the American and Connecticut bar associations and their Real Property and Environmental sections. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Real Property Section. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in 1970 and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1974.
Klein practices in the areas of business transactions, commercial and residential real estate, and commercial litigation. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy studies in 1997 from Duke University and his law degree in 2002 from Fordham University School of Law. He also attended the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London.
Klein is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Business Law and Franchise sections, the American Bar Association’s Franchising Forum and Negotiated Acquisitions Subcommittee and the Bridgeport Bar Association’s Real Estate Section. He participates in the Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s Leadership Program. He also performs pro bono legal work for Connecticut Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Klein lives in Milford.
Galletti currently practices in all of the firm’s major areas of service including business transactions, commercial and residential real estate, and trusts and estates. Galletti was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2006. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. Galletti received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history, cum laude, in 2002 from Boston College. He received his law degree in 2005 from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. Galletti lives in Fairfield and is a member of the Fairfield Prep Alumni Board.
