
Mary Jo Deck
Mary Jo Deck, a sales associate with Hamden-based Press/Cuozzo, has received the Certified Residential Specialist designation from the Council of Residential Specialists, a nonprofit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
Realtors who receive the CRS designation have completed advanced courses and demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 38,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential.
A Realtor since 1987, Deck is a consistent million-dollar-producer and recipient of multiple awards, including System 1 Circle of Excellence and Platinum awards, New Haven Board of Realtors Quarterly Achievement awards and the Press/Cuozzo President’s Award. She also holds the designation of Accredited Buyer Representative.
She is a member of the Greater New Haven, Connecticut and National associations of Realtors and the New Haven and Quinnipiac chambers of commerce.
Press/Cuozzo Realtors, which has offices at 2751 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden and 975 State St. in New Haven, has been serving the Greater New Haven area since 1990. The firm provides residential brokerage and relocation services, and the services of a Commercial and Industrial Division.
Cavaliere Named to Board
Thomas Cavaliere, Realtor and managing partner of Weichert Regional Properties in Orange, has been confirmed as a member of the board of directors for the Orange Economic Development Corp.
Cavaliere is slated to serve on the board until 2010. As a board member, Cavaliere will assist in the development of future economic development programs and activities, as well as participate in OEDC committees and events.
Weichert Regional Properties is located at 185 Boston Post Road in Orange.
Agostini Receives Award
The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce has given Maryann Agostini, manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Mystic and Stonington offices, the 2007 Edward O. McCabe Employer of the Year Award.
As the manager of the two offices, Agostini oversees more than 50 Realtors. Some of the local philanthropic organizations that Agostini and her sales associates support include the Riverfront Children’s Center in Groton, the Covenant Shelter of New London, the Mystic Area Shelter & Hospitality, the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and the Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut.
“Over the years, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Mystic and Stonington sales associates, along with Ms. Agostini, have exemplified the company’s commitment to giving back,” said Kate Rossi, president and chief operating officer of CBRB.

Cahill Made Division VP
Diane Cahill has been appointed vice president of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance’s New Homes Division.
Cahill’s recent hire represents her return to the firm, having been a regional sales manager from 1997 to 2003. In her new role, Cahill will work to implement new programs, identify business opportunities and couple her knowledge with the resources of the William Raveis New Homes division to collaborate with current and future clients.
With 33 years of industry experience, Cahill holds the designations of Graduate Realtor Institute, Certified Sales Professional, and Graduate of Institute of Residential Marketing.
William Raveis has a 2007 estimated sales volume of $5.5 billion. The company has 1,900 sales professionals and 59 offices, including two affiliates, in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Future plans entail expansion into New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
