The average 30-year mortgage rate in Connecticut stood at 5.2 percent last week, unchanged from the week prior, according to online mortgage tracker Zillow.

The average rate in Connecticut was slightly below the average national rate last week, which stood at 5.25 percent, despite President Barack Obama announcing a sweeping Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan.

Nationally, Florida mortgage rates (5.04 percent) and Pennsylvania mortgage rates (5.04 percent) were the lowest in the country, while Tennessee mortgage rates (5.34 percent) were the highest.
