A former employee of a New Milford bank accused of plundering customer accounts for three decades has pleaded guilty to a federal bank fraud charge.
Seventy-five-year-old Betty Pacocha of Kent pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of stealing from bank customer certificate of deposit accounts.
Pacocha was an employee of the New Mil bank on Main Street which was later merged with Webster Bank.
Prosecutors say she had access to CDs and removed funds over a 30 year period. They say she stole more than $722,000 during that time.
Pacocha has made restitution, but still faces prison time when she is sentenced in October. (AP)
