Essex Savings Promotes Hazuka To VP

Essex Savings Bank has promoted Ed Hazuka of Old Saybrook to vice president.

Hazuka joined the bank in May 2004 as assistant vice president, information systems officer and has 25 years of industry experience, computer programming skills and overall information systems knowledge.

He has managed the new information technology challenges and opportunities brought on by the ever-growing size and complexity of the bank while directing the on-going bank information systems, according to a statement.

In addition, he serves as the bank privacy officer, information technology officer, and is responsible for a number of policies that protect systems, customer information and their potential effect on the bank’s overall reputation risks.
