David H. MacKenzie, of Fairfield, has been named vice president and residential lending manager at Stamford-based Patriot National Bank.

MacKenzie, a 25-year financial industry veteran, has led mortgage teams for Greenpoint Savings Bank, Sovereign Bancorp, Bank of New York and Citicorp, according to a statement. In his new role, MacKenzie will be responsible for formatting Patriot’s new residential mortgage department.

"[I’m] excited to be associated with a bank known for its deep history of serving businesses and consumers in Fairfield County," said MacKenzie. "My goal and Patriot’s is to become the primary source of mortgage financing for the communities we serve."

MacKenzie is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and has served as a member of the board of directors and the production committee for the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association.
