Starwood Capital Group Appoints Rohm Group President

Greenwich’s Starwood Capital Group has appointed C. Scott Rohm as president of SH Group, Starwood Capital’s hotel brand management company that oversees the development and launch of the group’s two new luxury and lifestyle hotel and residence brands, Baccarat Hotels and 1 Hotels & Resorts.

Rohm will oversee operations of the SH Group managed hotels, including development, sales, finance and human resources. Rohm’s appointment helps the firm prepare to launch the two hotel brands, including an initial five hotel openings scheduled over the next 24 months in New York City, Morocco and South Beach, Fla.

Rohm brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience to SH Group. Most recently he was president of Turnberry Hotel Group.
