Simsbury Bank recently hosted a booth at the Strawberry Festival held at the United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.

Staff of Simsbury Bank’s Bloomfield branch and others handed out free popcorn, candy and piggy banks to children. 

Children also colored strawberry-related pictures for a coloring contest with prizes awarded to winners voted on by visitors to the Bank’s Bloomfield office at 864 Cottage Grove Road. Jiselle Manning, 4, won in the age 5-and-under category, and Caprice Gaulteau, age 7, won in the age 6-8 category. Both girls received toy prizes for their efforts.

"The branch staff truly enjoys participating in community events," Ken Sklodosky, senior market manager of the Bloomfield office, said in a statement. "We love to talk with the children who visit our booth and to answer any questions for adults as to how we can help them achieve their financial goals."
