Christian Union Inc. has bought the Kingsley-Havemeyer House in New Haven for $836,000.
The historic property at 31 Whitney Ave. is a 5,347-square-foot, three-story brick building.
Stephen Press, co-principal of Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, represented the seller, the estate of Gordon A. Evans. Gordon "Bill" Evans had purchased the building from Yale University in 1976 and moved it to its current location from Grove Street. Michael Richetelli of Colonial Properties represented Christian Union Inc.
Built in the 1850s, the building includes office space and a private, 12-car parking lot. The basement office has a separate, private entrance at the back of the building. It sits in the heart of the legal and office district on the edge of the Yale campus.
