Congress Building Corp. and LCB Senior Living LLC recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for The Residence at Brookside in Avon.

The senior living community at 117 Simsbury Road will feature 74 apartments and common areas that include comfortable lounges, computer rooms, an exercise room and other amenities designed to keep residents engaged and active. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2015.

The independent living apartments will have kitchenettes and private baths, and residents will enjoy 24-hour security, three gourmet meals a day prepared and served restaurant style and a variety of optional services. Assisted living apartments are designed for those who would benefit from assistance with activities of daily living including bathing and dressing and medication reminders.

Massachusetts-based Congress Building Corp. will provide construction management services for the project. The assisted living, independent living and memory care residence will be owned and operated by LCB Senior Living LLC of Norwood, Mass.  The project was designed by The Architectural Team of Chelsea, Mass.

Congress Building Corp. is currently providing construction management services for The Residence at South Windsor Farms, an 80-apartment senior living community in South Windsor, scheduled for completion in early 2015.
