The Plainville Chamber of Commerce has signed a three-year agreement to become an affiliate member of the regional Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce (CCCC).

As a CCCC member, the Plainville Chamber of Commerce joins the Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce, Plymouth/Terryville Chamber of Commerce, Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Wolcott Chamber of Commerce, Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, Burlington Chamber of Commerce and the New England Spring and Metalstamping Association (NESMA) in promoting and fostering the economic and social development of the region.

The Plainville Chamber of Commerce, with 160 members, maintains its own independent status, governance structure and operation, but will share in regional committees, events and efforts to increase the voice, visibility, strength and influence of the 1,400-member strong business community across the region.

"The Plainville Chamber’s decision to join the Central Connecticut affiliation was based on the many strengths and resources we anticipate this action will bring to our members," Kathleen Aubrey-Bergonzi, Plainville Chamber chairperson, said in a statement. "We believe this affiliation will increase our members’ visibility, promotion, education, leadership and networking opportunities and will give the Plainville business community an even stronger voice in the political and economic arena."
