Greenwich-based Fifth Street Finance Corp. (FSC) has promoted Todd Owens to CEO.

Owens joined FSC in September 2014 and currently serves as president and a member of its board of directors. Owens will replace Leonard Tannenbaum who has resigned from the post, which he held for six and a half years. Tannenbaum will remain in charge of the firm’s publicly-traded investment advisor, Fifth Street Asset Management.

"I am very excited about the market opportunity available for FSC and look forward to guiding the company as its CEO," Owens said in a statement. "I believe there is an opportunity to build upon the company’s solid foundation and drive value by making operational decisions that are in the best interests of FSC’s shareholders."

Ivelin M. Dimitrov will replace Owens as president. He joined FSC in May 2005 and currently serves as chief investment officer and a member of its board of directors. Dimitrov is also chairman of the board of directors of Healthcare Finance Group LLC, a portfolio company of FSC.
