Two employees at Webster Bank’s Cheshire location have assumed leadership positions at local nonprofits.
Kara Williams, senior vice president and director of internal audit, has been elected to the board of directors of The Cove Center for Grieving Children, and Janel Crite, senior auditor, has been elected to the board of directors of Girls on the Run of Greater New Haven.
Williams, who is a certified public accountant and joined Webster in 2012, will promote the image and welfare of the organization through her leadership and participation in fundraising events. The nonprofit Cove Center is primarily focused on providing and supporting safe harbors for children and families who have experienced the loss of a family member.
Crite, who joined Webster in 2014, will serve as chapter treasurer for the Girls on the Run of Greater New Haven, which combines training for a 5K run with lessons that inspire girls to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem-solving skills and help them learn to make healthy decisions.
