F&M Electrical Supply Co. has acquired Master Electric Supply and relocated to Bridgeport, and Mercedes-Benz has leased the former Master Electric Supply building in Fairfield.

F&M, a family-owned and operated business based in Danbury for over three decades, will occupy 12,000 square feet at 386 Mountain Grove St.

F&M will continue to sell electrical products, while maintaining the business relationships built by Master Electric.

Master Electric was founded in 1936 and opened in Bridgeport, but later relocated to Fairfield, serving the electrical market there for over 30 years. Tom Zambardo took over the business in 2004 and ran the company until the sale of the business to F&M.

Additionally, Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield has leased an 18,200-square-foot building on 1.27 acres. The 201 Commerce Drive property will be used primarily for administration offices and new vehicle preparation, and the building will be retrofitted to suit their needs.
