First County Bank Foundation, the charitable arm of Stamford-based mutual bank First County, recently awarded four Westport-based nonprofits a total of $20,000 in grants.
- Homes with Hope received $10,000 for its emergency shelter for homeless single mothers and their children.
- Positive Directions was granted $5,000 for its adolescent behavioral health treatment program.
- $2,500 went to Project Return for its HEAL (Health, Empathy, Altruism, Love) Program which provides a supportive environment for adolescent girls and young women in crisis.
- $2,500 was awarded to the community service organization United Way of Westport.
