A 36-unit studio apartment building in New Haven recently changed hands, according to brokers Wareck D’Ostilio Real Estate.

The Jack and Mary DisCalla Limited Partnership sold the property at 297 George St., known as the Regency Apartments, to an undisclosed adjacent property owner for $5 million.

The new owner intends to renovate the 24,346-square-foot property, which was built in 1960 and owned by the prior owners for more than 25 years.

The property is nearby the $55 million Crown and College Apartments development, as well as the Alexion Pharmaceuticals headquarters.
