German power equipment producer STIHL Inc. is relocating to Oxford from its current Shelton location with the purchase of an industrial parcel which will house a 120,000-square-foot distribution facility.

STIHL acquired the 24-acre property for $1.71 million from a local developer operating as 589 Investments LLC. The property, part of Patriot Business Park in the Oxford Industrial Park on Patriot Way, will be the center of the company’s Northeast operations.
