Liberty Bank recently announced during the months of April and May that it will distribute funds to local organizations through its Giving Circle program.
The program sets aside $100 for every mortgage application the bank receives during April and May to donate to 29 local organizations that provide emergency or transitional housing for homeless families and individuals.
“There’s something very satisfying about the idea that someone who is about to buy a home of their own – a big event in anyone’s life – is at the same time helping to shelter someone else who has no home at all,” Thomas J. Hylinski, executive vice president of Liberty Bank’s retail lending group, said in a statement.
