Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC has awarded $1,700 to the CityCenter farmers market in Danbury.

The funds will be used to bring live music to the market, which is opening for its seventh season on June 25 at Kennedy Park.

Greystar is the developer of downtown Danbury’s new apartment complex Kennedy Flats, located nearby the park.

“We believe that Farmers’ Markets are an integral part of any thriving community and are happy to be able to enhance this weekly event by sponsoring live music,” Justin Gaboury, senior community manager of Kennedy Flats, said in a statement. “Having access to fresh local produce and handcrafted items outside of our doorstep is a tremendous asset to downtown residents.”
