After 66 years of operations as a Stratford appliance store, Mudrick’s TV and Appliances has closed its doors.

The family-run business opened the 21,169 square-foot retail store on .72 acres at 1480 Barnum Ave. in August 1949.

“We have worked long and hard for over six decades serving customers in Stratford with low prices on appliances and top notch customer service,” Owner Jack Mudrick, who is looking forward to retirement, said in a statement “It is time to put down the phone and pick up the fishing reel.”
